BCPS Newsletter Issue 5 Spring Term

12 February, 2021

Dear Parents, Families and Friends of BCPS,

Well, here we are, and we have made it in one piece to the first school holiday of 2021! I must admit, the most exciting and hopeful part of that for me is that we are so much nearer to being able to open our school gates to all our children very soon! Fingers crossed, during the next half term, we shall have some much awaited good news!

We have had wonderful feedback from our Celebration of Grandparents’ video; thank you all for that and I am so very glad that it meant so very much to you all. I agree, it is truly a keepsake to be treasured always, and a reminder that our school family is, and will always be, united, and bound by love.

I wish you all a happy week,

We remain ‘Together Whilst Apart’! Best wishes! As always, Miss Farrow

A WHIRL OF A WEEK!

Wow! What a busy last week of the half term we have had – we wrote in the snow, flipped pancakes, made Chinese food and learnt how to stay safe when we use the internet! We deserve a rest next week!

REFLECTION

REACH OUT!
Knowing that Jesus has the power to heal him, a man with an incurable skin disease asks Jesus for help. Of course Jesus wants to make him well, so he reaches out and touches the man. Straightaway, the man is healed. Jesus asks him to go to see the priest, proving he is well and can live a normal life again. Jesus also asks him not to tell anyone what has happened. Unsurprisingly, the healed man can’t keep quiet and tells so many people about this miracle that Jesus is unable to go into the town .

DID YOU KNOW?
The season off Lent starts this week on Ash Wednesday when we receive ashes made from last year’s palm leaves on our foreheads. During Lent, we try to live every day in the best way we can, growing to be even more like Jesus. Have you made a Lenten promise yet?

PRAYER
Dear Jesus, you were brave and reached out to touch a man with an incurable disease. Help me to share your love with everyone, especially anyone who is lef out. Help me to be brave like you and include everyone. Amen.

ACTION
Make sure everyone feels special and valued this week!

A CORNUCOPIA OF FAITHS

It’s been a whirl of a week in Reception; we have been very busy.
We made Valentine’s Day cards, flipped pancakes, learned about the importance of Internet safety, and celebrated Chinese New Year.
We are well and truly ready for our rest!

Kindness Cup

The Kindness Cup this week is awarded to Sarah for being a great ambassador and role model for BCPS; it doesn’t go unnoticed.
