Dear Parents, Families and Friends of BCPS,
Last Sunday, our Sacramental Programme children shone like heavenly stars as they made their First Holy Communions. They both looked truly scrumptious and did us all so proud as they received the Holy Eucharist with grace and quiet confidence in front of the congregation gathered to
celebrate at St. Marie’s Church in Bury. Even the weather was kind to us – a blessed day!
Next week is our jam-packed Platinum Jubilee Celebration Week. Plans are all in place to make sure not only that BCPS will celebrate in style, but that our children will experience a joyous week which they will remember fondly for the rest of their lives! In the life of our country, such a genuinely historic event deserves triumphant celebration, and we intend to do exactly that!
Please do be sure to check the diary dates carefully. There is plenty for everyone to get involved in and you will be made exceedingly welcome in school for our special assembly on Monday (to launch Queen Elizabeth Community Award), and for our Jubilee Concert on Tuesday. I hope, also, to welcome as many of you as possible to join us for ice cream and refreshments on Thursday at 3pm.
Please note the article below regarding our Grandparents’ Afternoon Tea. Should there still be anybody who would like to book places, please email me ASAP at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the school office. I sincerely look forward to welcoming such a valued sector of our school community to a wonderful afternoon’s entertainment!
Here’s to a fantastic and memorable week ahead for us all!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Best wishes! As always, Miss Farrow

Jesus is giving his friends a special present. Jesus doesn’t want us to ever be worried or frightened, so is giving us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will bring us peace and help us to grow in our understanding of Jesus. If we love Jesus, we will live as he asks, but there is nothing to worry about: the Holy Spirit will be with us, helping us all the way.
DID YOU KNOW?
Lots of people feel anxious and worry – and that’s okay! If you are worried, it might help to find an adult or a friend to talk to. It can also help if you get some physical exercise and run around letting off steam. Maybe you could make a ‘worry box’ and write down your worries. Closing your box can feel like closing down your worries for a while. Do some deep breathing – and remember how much you are loved.
Thank you, Jesus, for sending your Holy Spirit to be with us and to help us. Amen.
Try spending a few minutes every day being still and quiet. Relax your muscles and slow your breathing. Enjoy being calm and peaceful.

NEWS FOR OUR BOOKWORMS!
Our new ’Book lub’ title is…
by Victoria Hislop!
On the brink of a life-changing decision, Alexis Fielding longs to find out about her mother’s past. But Sofia has never spoken of it. All she admits to is growing up in a small Cretan village before moving to London. When Alexis decides to visit Crete, however, Sofia gives her daughter a letter to take to an old friend, and promises that through her she will learn more.
Arriving in Plaka, Alexis is astonished to see that it lies a stone’s throw from the tiny, deserted island of Spinalonga – Greece’s former leper colony. Then she finds Fotini, and at last hears the story that Sofia has buried all her life: the tale of her great-grandmother Eleni and her daughters and a family rent by tragedy, war and passion. She discovers how intimately she is connected with the island, and how secrecy holds them all in its powerful grip.
A page-turning tale that reminds us that love and life continue in even the most extraordinary of circumstances
DELVE IN – DIGEST – DISCUSS!
Date to remember… 10 June, 2022 (9.00am)!
Join us for coffee and cake… and some fabulous chat about a ‘one in a million’ read, guaranteed to enthrall!
